FAQ
Who can use the service?
The service is primarily intended for seniors who wish for more contact, feel lonely, or simply want to have a pleasant chat with a friendly voice on the other end. But we are also happy to talk with anyone who, for various reasons, feels lonely – and it doesn't have to be only older people. We are here for anyone seeking a kind word, genuine interest, and a friendly voice
Is the calling free?
We also offer a package that is completely free for seniors – thanks to the generous support of donors and partners. This package is designed for those who cannot afford the service.
Other packages require a small monthly contribution. This helps us cover the costs of the phone system, client database, data security, and technical support – everything needed to ensure calls can take place safely and reliably. Thank you for helping us keep Calling with Heart going.
Who makes the calls?
You'll be called by people we carefully select not only based on their experience, but especially their human approach. Each of our callers goes through training and brings with them natural empathy, patience, and kindness – the qualities that make an ordinary conversation truly special.
Can calls be regular?
Yes, we offer regular calls based on the package you choose – for example, once a week or twice a month. We always try to adapt to the wishes and needs of each individual.
You can find an overview of our packages and options here.
What will we talk about?
That's entirely up to you – life, memories, family, the weather, hobbies, or whatever is on your mind. Sometimes just a few kind words are enough, other times it's about listening, or even sharing a moment of quiet together. With us, nothing is required – only possible.
Is it safe?
Yes. During calls we never ask for sensitive personal information or request payments. Conversations are held with respect, kindness, and an emphasis on dignity. We also strictly follow personal data protection rules (GDPR).
How can I order the service for my parents or grandparents?
Simply fill out the order form, send us an email, or give us a call. We'll gladly take care of everything. You can also gift the service as a present.
What if the senior doesn't want to take the call?
We fully respect that. We never pressure anyone into contact – everything is completely voluntary. Our goal is to bring joy, not to bother.
If the senior doesn't answer, we'll send a short SMS introducing ourselves and reminding them why we tried to reach them. It's then up to them whether they choose to respond or take the call next time.
Can I gift the service anonymously?
Yes, that's possible too. If you'd prefer to remain anonymous, just contact us and we'll arrange the donation of a package without disclosing your name – perhaps with only a kind message or a wish "from the heart."
The service can also be given as a surprise – introduced gently and warmly, so the senior feels happy and not disturbed.
Don't like the call? Just say so – no worries
Our goal is for you to feel comfortable and safe during the call. If something doesn't feel right – whether it's the topic, the style of conversation, or if you'd prefer speaking with someone else – please let us know.
We always listen with respect and without judgment. We can:
-
switch to another caller (operator),
-
adjust the length or frequency of calls,
-
or end the service at any time upon request.
There's no need to be afraid or embarrassed – every person is different, and we fully understand that. We are truly here for you and with you.
